Head Coach – Micah Albert
Coach Albert brings a wealth of experience and passion to West Park High School Tennis. In his very first season coaching the boys in 2024, he guided the team to the SJS Semifinals. Shortly after, he began to lead the girls’ team, taking them to the playoff section quarterfinals and advancing two players to the SJS individual competitions. His competitive pedigree is built on years of high-level play—he was an elite junior player, competed in tournaments across Europe and North America, and graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University. He was also coached by legendary coach Frank Theissen (622-124 record). He is in his third year as the CTE Photography teacher at West Park. Married for 24 years with two kids (ages 15 and 12) and Gold River Tennis Club member.

Assistant & JV Coach – George Spencer
Meet Coach Spencer, the driving force behind our JV team. Focused on the process rather than just the outcome, he believes that emphasizing player and team development today sets the stage for long-term success. His coaching philosophy centers on continuous improvement, building self-confidence, and developing leadership skills—everything needed to grow as both an athlete and an individual.
Off the court, Coach Spencer enjoys competing in USTA tournaments, rocking out at concerts, and spending quality time with his daughters.
